Laos Shenker Using Resources Sole Co., Ltd. was incorporated in the Seno Special Economic Zone of Savannakhet Province in March 2024.
It is a non-ferrous metal smelting company. The total investment of the company is 74 million US dollars, which will be constructed in two phases. Phase I will construct a blast furnace smelting system, which will process approximately 100,000 tons of copper concentrate and other non-ferrous metal materials, and produce 30,000 tons of 98% sulfuric acid annually; Phase II will construct a side-blown furnace and continuous converting system, with an annual processing capacity of about 150,000 tons of metal raw materials, and can produce 80,000 tons of 98% sulfuric acid annually. The project plan is to complete Phase I in July 2025 and Phase II in July 2027, with a total project construction period of 3 years.
The company can process approximately 250,000 tons of metal containing raw materials annually, mainly consisting of copper-nickel concentrates and other non-ferrous metal materials. Of these, 80% are sourced from abroad, primarily imported from countries such as Canada, Australia, the European Union, South Africa, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Myanmar, and Vietnam; the remaining 20% are purchased from domestic mines in Laos.
